Plant showing sex during veg!?! +rep

hello all, I got one PPP feminized plant on the go, It has been growing for 7 weeks under a MH and I want to put it in flowering after the 8th week. It is already showing white pistils and it is in 20 on - 4 off lighting though...anyone know how this is possible? I'ts a really bushy plant so I'm wondering maybe cause all the shade the inside of it gets?...I do not even know....anyone have an explanation for this?..it would be greatly apprectiated and rewarded with +REP.

Some plants are auto flowering. Auto Flowering cannabis is not dependent on the light cycle to go into flowering. usually auto flowering plants start to flower after 5-6 weeks and then bud for another 5-8 weeks. Thats my only thought. dont know anything about the strain, but its quite possible. Im guessing your plant is just telling you that its ready ;) listen to her needs. GEEZ!

on the first one they are kinda curled up a bit on the one main internode in the photo, and the second one you can see the light shining off them a bit..they are white hairs, look nothing like new growth.

Goes to show ya that "post count" doesn't mean a fuckin' thing! This fellow is correct. Allow me to just fix a couple things for ya bro.
1)A plant will show "pre-flowers", not pre-sex, in veg when it becomes sexually mature. Right around the time it starts to grow in the "alternating internode" pattern...
2)It is perfectly normal to see pistils emerge during veg.
3)Some plants do show sex earlier than others.

You don't see any pistils? Do you know what pre-flowers are and where they are located on a plant? If your answer is yes, try looking again. If not, let me know and I'll explain it for ya.:peace:

Not an autoflowering plant, just showing sex with it's pre-flowers. It happens if you veg the plant long enough.

That's exactly what she's tellin' ya. Also, since you have taken the time to allow your girl to become sexually mature(alternating internodes), she will now produce the best possible weed she is capable of producing. Great job!

a few of you were close, but antman is dead on the money here folks.


if your vegging for 8 wks, do you have adequate room to flower? you know your plant could double or even triple in size during flower, right? i know if i were to veg for 8 wks id have to take out the ceiling to flower.

Nope, I am using MH during flowering also because I am using a SolarMax Gold all phase bulb which produces significantly more orange/red wave length.

I have more than enough room to veg for 8 weeks but I am probably going to throw it in flowering sooner, my plant is only about a foot tall right now because I used the LST method, I got 15 tops on her just waiting to turn in to nice cola's. heres a couple pic's that are about a week or two old to give you an idea what I'm working with.

i agree with this and spike.

PPP has a strong Sativa element to it and will grow from 2.5 to 3.0 times its size once you start flowering.
its also a beast with harvest. you are gonna have more bud than you can deal with if you keep going the rate you are.
just dont fuck up flowering and you will be stoned for the next 3 years :)
