hey i planted my germinated seed at about 1pm its now like 11. its in a dixie cup with potting soil, i made sure the soil was moist when i put it in. i have a 75 watt plant light that i bought from home depot on it about an inch or two away. i left the light on till about 930ish and i found the soil was very dry, i made it moist then left the light on. it seems to be drying very quick. i thought i had to leave the light on 24 hrs when you first plant the seed. what the hell am i doing wrong and what should i do? thanks a lot

well its not really a dixie cup its similar to a solo cup. so i cut the bottom and side of the cup, and pull the cup out once i fill the sides up to the cup? im a little confused

set the cup on your computer tower. you dont need a light on it if there is no plant to obsorb the light !?!?! when it pops out the soil, worry about the light. your temps are too high because of the, umm cfl you have. and ventilation? a lil more info is needed

dvd player, stereo, tv, above the fridge. whatever stays on.

you need ventilation with any plant, its called free air exchange

i dont know what type of light you have just the wattage. a plant needs light when it is a plant. not a germinated shoot under the soil line.

Dude calm down. If your seeds are good. They will germinate. Depending on the strain it could be a week or more it just depends. What strain are you growing?
