plants are getting too tall, what to do?

My plants are getting too tall for my deck, so I want to tie them down somehow. i remember seeing someone pull the tops down and tie them to something so the tops are not facing up but lateral or down. Does anyone have any tip on what to tie them to, how to bend them and what to use to tie them?

string. don't use nothing metal. plastic would be ok. some peeps use weights to make the tops hang down.i tie it down to the pot. or raise the light!

I'm new to this but I just screwed some screws into the side of the pot and used hemp string to tie them down. I just looped the string around the stalk rather than tie the string to the stalk. This way your stalk thickness won't be hindered.

My plants are also getting to tall/big for my stealth spot. I was wondering if cutting back the amount of direct sunlight it receives would hurt the plant or my yield too much. I'd feel much more safer if I moved my plants to a little secluded spot next my shed and fence but even though it gets a lot of sun during the day it does get semi blocked by some branches part of the day and is in no way as good as my other spot. Is change in the brightness of light going to shock my plants too much?

I am growing outside, so there isn't any light. They are on the deck and growing taller than the deck, so for privacy I want to limit thier height.

i use that plastic garden ribbon. it's used to tie plants to stakes. just tie a loop around the top of the plant then pull it all the way down to the base of the stalk (the ribbon, not the plant) and tie it off. you can also put a short stake at an outward angle in the pot and tie off to this. the plant will be in a big bowed arc now. don't pull to hard to far or it will snap.

that's my bagseed cross strain, "roadtrip". it was started and flowered outdoors. it was about 7' but i pulled it down to 5'. the top cola was over 2' long.

beautiful plants fdd...how many are there may i ask? thats not just 1 is it? lol i just started growin, but if i could grow a crop like that i'd be very happy
