Hello all!

I've been doing my first grow, outdoors in 5 gallon buckets. These plants are almost 6 weeks old, grown from seeds.

About a week ago the bottom leaves started getting these black/brown spots on them. The spots eventually cover the leaves, which then turn yellow and die. It seems to be moving up the plant. There are no signs of bugs.

What do you think it is/the treatment should be?

Not sure either..But they are on the bottom and getting shaded the top leaves look good...I'd clip the bad ones.

Looks like leaf spot disease to me. Its a progressive fungus that will kill your plant. There is a thread on here somewhere discussing it. If that is indeed what it is (and it looks like it is) you need to get Bonide liquid copper to drench the plants. You can't cure them but you can stop the progression.
