Plants not doing good...need help

here are the current stats of the grow:

starting into the second week of flowering.
five Big Bud plants...which definitely have overgrowth issues
using a screen of green grow method.
500w of cfl warm/soft white
temp hovers around 80 humidity 30% during the "day"
growing in fox farm ocean soil
using fox farm trio for nutes as directed by website
watering every two to three days

Problems:

Plants fan leaves started to turn yellow with brown spots a few weeks ago. brown spots have now began to show near the tops of the plants on the small leaves. today just notices that stems have begun to turn a purple hue on the top half of the plants. bottom half of stems are still green. pictures are accompanying. all tops are a light green in color and leaves are crisp. what am i doing wrong/not doing?

What is your PH?

Ph is at 6.0.

Looks like your over fertilizing, give her a good fluch with ph adjusted water.

Never had a prob using the FF trio pack w/ additives. Nothing but healthy lush growth.. You are following the feeding schedule too .. hmmmm Wow, good chance that it is the ph. Good luck man.

Fertilizing every two to three waterings, which averages out to be less than once a week. Will try a flush and see if it helps. Thanks

you people have to start answering if the test works otherwise people with the same problem have no idea how to solve it. I am having the same problem but to only 3 of my plants in a 7 plant system. Wondering what it is?

Sort of looks like a Potassium Deficiency when you see the black spots on yellowing leaves like the last picture. Shouldn't be happening with Fox Farm though. So it's very possible that you're over feeding.

I use Fox Farm and never had a problem, but I don't exactly follow the feeding schedule. I listen to my plants.
In my experience, different plants want different stuff. Or different amounts of stuff.

Flush the shit out of it, then give it a nice feeding of TigerBloom and Big Bloom.
Lay off the solubles for one feeding. Give them a rest.

That's what I would do.

to the rest of you, here are some pics 24 hr after a full and thorough flush of ph adjusted water. so far no noticeable changes. plants still look rough. however, i wasn't expecting a miracle overnight. i'll keep you posted on any changes.

I too, was thinking that it was a deficiency, but was waiting to see if anyone else thought the same. anyone else have deficiency suggestions or comments?

how are your roots any browning gell stuff?

things still seem to be slowly worsening. any other ideas?

if you are watering every three days and adding a cup or two of water you are allowing the waste/salts of the nutrients breakdown to hang out around the root and not flushing out. You need to wait for you plants to get near dry and water with 3 gallons of water for a 3 gallon container then let water run off. You need good drainage too. Once a month you need to flush with 3 times the amount of water (ph correct water 6.5 up to 7 no lower then 6 unless you are cloning or starting seeds.)

Do not feed every-time if you do--- use a solution feed with N-P-K as the ash counters the potassium so you do not get PH climb. I guess your problems is a K deficiency or potassium. You also may have a root problem as the way you were or are watering. I would flush as described with ph controlled water Distilled is 7ph vinegar will reduce ph if you do not have a ph tester go get one. PH Soil testers do not measure PH water you putting in her pot. the soil tester only tests ph after it is in and has to be wet to measure. Spend 20 bucks on an electric ph water tester so you know what kind of water you are feeding her before it goes in AFTER you have added your nutrients and food sparingly!

My information was taken from the bible by JC I looked up your pictures and compared the leafs to the book and it appears as though that is your problem. You will see the plants kinda droop when they are ready for water if they are still springy there is still water near the root and by over watering the plant will go to (the path of least resistence and drink form the wet root ball at the bottom where the waste is if it is not flushed it is living in it.

I think it's a deficiency. Increase your nutrients. I just had a similar looking problem and fixed it by increasing ppms. Yellowing leaves and reddening stems are signs of nute deficiencies.

appreciate the input from everyone. planed on increasing nutes, and picking up some potassium supplement. will report back in the next few days to give a progress report.

just read an article that said foxfarm grow big can be used for potassium def. would any of you considering using this during the flowering stage to correct a def such as mine?
