please check this out.....1st grow, something went wrong??

ok so they sprouted 14 days ago looking very nice and healthy..all grew their first set of leaves on day 2..around day 4 or 5 they had a the seconds pair growing in but all of a sudden they just stopped...so theyve been about this size for about nine days...most of them still look pretty healthy but others not so much...ive got a small closet grow with 4x 26w 6700k cfls, 1x tube grow light(apprx 13w), covering 12-13 seedlings in 10.oz Styrofoam cups, i thought maybe they needed to be transplanted so i moved 3 of them into 2-liter bottles with the tops cut off covered them with black electrical tape...its been 2 days since then and still nothing any suggestions ???!

yeah it dries out really quick and i think i might water them too much trying to keep the soil moist??

Its soil that you would grow adult plants in if you had to, what you need is specialized seedling mix soil. Pop down to your local garden center and buy yourself a small bag.

I would do some research and use a soil formula that has been proven to work.

Definitaly your soil. ( Not that i saw any soil in those pictures) One cup looks like its full of twigs from a bush, is the soil from your garden?

yeah its some cheap brand from walmart..its actually getting worse with time, i didnt realize had so0o much mulch in it...

alright so i checked the roots and they're still growing, just not the actual plant itself does this narrow it down any..????

The plants are babies being grown on adult food and adult soil conditions. The fact that it is still growing is a testament to how hardy cannabis is and not a sign that the soil is fine. Find some proper seedling mix to put your plants in.

so once i switch soil how long should i expect before they bounce back??...i really dont wanna mess this up (guess i shouldnt have cheaped out on soil)...also is there any way to find out what strain i have here..? :weed:
