Pollinating auto Hindu Kush...... HELP Needed...!

i am new to growing(about 3 months in) and definately new to breeding seeds. ALL SUGGESTIONS AND COMMENTS are welcome! I have a veg cab with T5 flour tubes. for breeding i built a smaller and completely sealed box with a 2' t5 tubes and inside painted white. i sealed every crack and built it to last. i will post pictures tomorrow.

i am on day 23.

i ordered 5 auto hindu kush regular seeds from Lowlife, all 5 germed and sprouted.
i have 2 females def so far and one male that i put in a closet for now til my box is finished. I plan on taking at least one, 2 if i get 3 total, and pollinating them with the male i already have or one of the remaining ones that i hope turns male, its growing the best.

i have questions on pollinating.....

1. what is the best method? shaking male over females or collecting pollen and painting the buds??

2. what is the best time to pollinate the female? ive read the seeds need min 5 weeks to mature.
i guess for this i would have to trial and error first until i figure out the flowering period huh? im going to guess about 2 weeks from when the first white hairs popped.....

3. how long is the male plant good for? i have some other strains i might want to mix with the very fast flowering hindu kush.

4. when can i put the pollinated female back into my regular grow cab?

ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED.....

Thanks...

Hey oz,
1. - Both methods are good, if you want to pollenate entire plant and get a lot of seeds you can just shake the male on female and entire plant will be pollenated. If you want to get some weed and seeds, you can just use a paintbrush and pollenate one or more branches.

2. - Best time to pollenate is when the buds are already formed and have most white hairs on them, and hairs are still not turning brown. That way you will get the most seeds.

3. - In my experience, plant is good until it produces pollen and is alive.

4. - After female is pollenated you can put it in grow room with other females, but there is a small chance that some of the pollen can get on other plants. I just put it in after pollenation and usually no females get pollen. But if you want to be sure you can just hold female in a different place from others for a couple of days, pollen will die and you can just put it back.

Hope I helped, good luck.

thanks euro, after reading more last night i think i am going to cut the pollen sacks off the males, save the in pill containers, labeled of course so then i dont have to worry about saving males until i need more pollen, i am going to try and pollinate just a few branches first.
