Wash the roots under the sink they will completely recover. this is a nutrients build-up, once you wash them once or twice under the sink the roots stay white.

Advanced Nutriens product are super super colored with funky color like red... The best nutrient for DWC should be the most clear as possible.

thought it might have been i was pretty sure it’s from the b52 the plant was growing fine still no stunned growth or nothing on another website they been telling me it’s root rot and to cut all the roots off  I wasn’t going that far, been searching the internet tonight and a lot of people that have had b52 in there res have had a similar or the same problem, only thing is I put h202 in my res now to help fight it and I’ve gone pretty much the strongest the bottle recommend , I think dump it tomorrow and put a fresh one in

if this is your first dwc grow, i'd leave it out until you get a few grows under your belt. it's really overpriced kelp.

use base nutes, cal/mg if needed and something to prevent rot then add on additives later

Ye it is mate so a bit on edge when i see things :o I did coco to begin with and come out great but wanted to try dwc, I got an oxypot 4 there not the containers I’m growing in that’s after I washed them, ye probably won’t use it again now it’s just some I had left over but gone back to basics now just grow a+b and I’m going to get some hygrowzyme tomorrow and that will be it I think as I’ve added silver bulllet and I heard that will survive in there but others won’t, but it’s not root rot is it?
Thanks people :D

I got this problem with G/M/B like i told you once they have been washed carefully under city water for like 2-3 minutes with hand massage , with the same G/M/B the roots will never turn brownish again. The CaliPro line is very accurate because the water stay clear with full nutrients in it, the Advanced Nutrients trend to be dark brown..

Look good to me. If your nutes are dark then it will stain them. As long as everything is in check and they don't have a funky smell.

Ye that’s after a light wash they where a lot worse than that but it come off easy I think it was just b52 staining as this is has kelp in it as far as I’m aware the leaves have gone a bit droopy after this the last two days could hopefully just be down to a bit of stress from washing the roots or I put a light feed back in the res and have read that if there’s not enough feed in the water they take up more water to try and get the nutrients and in turn they overwater them selves which makes sense in a way
