lol, thanks, yeah it certainly has character ($$$), but as a cottage and for tuning in or out it's a great spot :) Wish I had a sound engineer! It is nice and close when the munchies hit though. Do it all myself, my GF sometimes helps me click record if I'm in the mood and already playing but that's as far as my personal engineer goes ;) I'm mainly into live jamming lately and seeing what comes out ;) I have the POD X3 Live board for playing around with different sounds, and the BOSS RC-50 looper which I've been using more and more to jam when I don't have anyone around to play with. Just record a few bars and loop them, then fill in with the electric, whatever mood I'm in brings out something different, pretty cool stuff and very relaxing.
 
So got bedroom and work studios :)

I hear ya, I wear all hats in my studio as well. Also have been more into recording live jams vs. spending hours mixing and editing, I much prefer to keep the ideas coming, at least for now. If and when I write anything worth pouring over for hours, my space is fully treated and tuned and will make for quite a good mixing environment as far as home studio standards go.

I've watched a ton of demos, anything DSI sounds amazing. I thought long and hard about the Mopho (tabletop) before finding a used Moog Slim Phatty for pretty much the same price and couldn't say no.

I'll kick things off with a little photo-tour of my humble basement recording studio which I very recently completed after years of saving/acquiring/building, etc. It sits in a 17' x 20 room in the basement of my house, and I've tried to make the best use of the limited space that I have for performance/jamming, recording, and mixing/mastering. The entire room is acoustically treated with home-made absorption panels and bass traps, as well as a little bit of studio foam.
