potassium deficiency?

plants are 40d old in 5g fabs
ffof medium
haven’t fed them yet
water when dry
temps are steady 80°F rh 55%
i just don’t see how this is a potassium deficiency so soon.

any ideas? a couple these have the same issue. all the same plants as well.

Give them a feed, don't over feed them trying to make up for time lost though!!
They need calcium, use calmag

I'd be sketchy about the water if it smells like sulfur. Do you know the TDS? You might want to get a water report.

I'm on well water, but it's about 150 ppm. Mostly Ca is my guess. Clean and tastes good. No smells or anything. And I'm crazy about the taste of water. In SD I had to get a water dispenser because I like clean water. I was spoiled growing up in the PNW with awesome water.

You should get your well water tested so you know what's in it. Sulfur is used to lower the pH of soil and sulfuric acid is used by some as a pH down. Too much can lockout other nutrients. It is rare to have an excess of sulfur but if you're using well water and you're actually smelling it then you might be one of those rare cases. What's the pH of the well water?

i was told the hot water heater could have a buildup and when the water comes through the hot water heater it’s the cause of the smell. idk i’ll be check the PH of the water tomorrow. and i just ordered PH up and down

This is the case at our house. There is a rod in the water heater that does something and I can not remember exactly. Basically, you can remove that rod and it will help with that smell. That said, its not a bad idea to have a sample of the water tested by the local co-op so you know exactly what is going on. Does your water smell when you use the cold water as well or just the warm water?

It's the sacrificial anode. If you're smelling S it it's time to replace it, not remove it. If you remove it and don't replace it the water heater itself will start eroding vs your sacrificial anode.
