Preflowering?

It has been under 12/12 light for three weeks. These new needle like leaves are different than older ones. Maybe preflower?

Check at the internodes,the leaves have nothing to do with preflowers.At the 6 to the 8th internode it will show hairs or little balls.Cheap magnifien glass will help.Your plants should have been showing sex allready

yeah.. that is just new growth.. like the person above said.. nothing to do with flowering.. look where the petioles are... they are those lil pointy things that develop between the nodes and the stem.. now look inbetween these and the stem closer.. you will see either a round ball looking thing... or another thing that looks almost like the petiole, but much smaller.. this is a female preflower, and will have two hairs growing out of it eventually...
don't want to get you all exicted, but i thought i saw some pistols in the one shot, which would mean a female, but it was kinda hard to tell...
do a google search for female and male preflowers on mj and i am sure you can find a good snap of what you are looking for..

unfortunately I can not see any hairs or balls! Not even hairy balls!
what I do not understand is why nothing is happening. The 12/12 is controlled by a timer which I have checked it works. There are no unwanted lights in there either so it is pitch dark when it should be.
The only reason I can think of is that it gets a little cold during the night as it is in my attic.
Any suggestions?

About a month but with unsuitable light.
