problem with cutting clones too early

hi there, I understand your not suppost to cut clones from a plant when it is flowering however im growing in a small place, my next grow i'l be using a scrog, if i cut clones just before i start flowering, the plants i cute them from will have about 8 weeks left in my growroom before there is space to put the new clones in. my problem is if i keep the clones in a small box in 8 weeks time they will be too big for this small box and I'l need to move them into the room im using for flowering, which will be 12/12 and have no space.
are there any ways I can get around this without moving cloes to a bigger box, ie a way to make clones grow really slowly or take clones from my big plants 2 weeks before harvest?

You can take clones while a plant is flowering it just takes longer. You can also keep clones in a fridge for a little while, that might be something you want to look into
