Pruning/trimming scissors

I have a pair of the Chikamasa B-500SLF scissors and was wondering if I can sharpen these? I tried finding some info about them online but the Japanese company doesn't have much in terms of documentation and I am starting to get to the point where the leaves I am cutting are simply clamping down when the scissor is closed instead of being cut off. I know these have the fluorine coating so I didn't want to attempt to sharpen in case it will ruin this.

I use cheap fiskars for final trimming. Precision finish. Multiple pairs are suggested. Gum up and they bend if you cut larger stems. A decent pair of pruning shears for harvest. Clean with nail polish remover(acetone).016.jpg006.jpg

Those are nice Mitch. I use a couple different pairs of something similar. I like to clean with Bourbon and then take a paper towel with a little olive oil on it and wipe the blades down.....not a lot just a little. You'll notice how much better they work and cut.....it also keeps it from gumming up as fast.

Once you learn what you can't cut these are awesome. I got them on clearance last winter for $0.99. Bought all they had. No amount of lube is helping with my GG4. Nasty resinous goodies. And It speeds things up when myself and help have multiple pairs to work with. Then a non trimmer can clean for us as we go. Final trim is a chore.
