Puzzling PH in Bubbleponics

My plants are 10 days old. Everything was good until a couple of days ago. My PH dropped from 5.9 to like 1.6. I used PH up and brought it up to 6. The next day is was back in the ones. My PPM has remained steady at 400, heat is 82 F.

What is causing this and what can I do to prevent this??

hmm i have not heard of a drop so rapid. are you testing the water out of the faucet? also what are you adding as nutrients?

My air temps are 80 degrees. Using distilled water. I started a journal last week there are a few pics in there but at the time the pics were taken everything was good outside of one plant stretching a bit but that was a light issue and has been corrected. Posting new pics in journal tomorrow

Using Fox Farm. Gave them big bloom and grow big at 1/4 strength last week. Did not add nutes this week due to the PH issue. Rockwool with hydroton is 3 inch net pots

Thanks for the responses

Might want to test your distilled water our it in a bowl test it 24 hr later test se where your at. Then you will know if your laking somthing in your water. I would keep adding nutes to keep the ph up. I found my veg nutes brought the ph up while my bloom nutes brought my ph down. gl

Will the nutes raise my PH? Also I noticed on 2 of the 4 plants, 1 leaf had a brown spot on it. I tested the water in the jug and it was in the high 6's

I haven't checked my water temps due to the fact the grow is an uninsulated attic so it gets pretty chilly in there. The lights keep the temps between 80-82 then I have a small heater I have timed to go on when the lights are off which keeps them around 75 when lights are out. running lights 18/6

that water is getting cold when those lights go out and probably not staying warm enough when the lights are on. How are your tubs are they completley light proof? test out your nutes before you use them with your plants so know what they will do. your optimum ph level is 5.5. You can buy a stealth heater for your tub fully submergable. I have one works great I don't have to worry about the water getting to cold.

I have a submersible heater for the water. Using a rubbermade 21 gallon dark blue so no lights are getting through

you buy 21 gallons of disstilled water when you change the res whoa that has to be costly. mess around with your nutes so you know what they are gonna do and then move forward from there.

well since its a DWC I keep the water level about an inch below the bottom of my pots so its actually 17 gallons of water. I get it for 89 cents a gallon. i am going to change the res the following weekend because it should be due by then

High temps in the rez are a breeding ground for pathogens, only thing I can think of that will cause you such a large fluctuation. You are using organic nutes, so adding h2o2 is not possible.

Ideal is around 70,

I doubt very much I have high water temps. Liek I said its cold in the attic. If it weren't for the lights and heater I keep on for the 6 hours of dark the temps would be 40-50F

If it weren't for the lights , you wouldn't be growing.

how is your rez temp going to magically drop when it never gets below 75 in the room?

Does the water you buy come as ice?

I bet you a joint that your rez temp is between 75 and 81!

Also sorry to Kool hand, kind of walked over your post. you were on the 70 degree inquiry already.

Res temp is 63.8 degrees. More leaves turning a bit brown which is really bothering me
