question about mogul base

What do i need for a 150w HPS light to work. Can I use only a mogul base and be good or what?

Dont know of any HID light that didn't use a ballast of some sort. I may be wrong, but I dont think so.

That sucks because I have a small 150w HPS. I just need to find a way to get it to work with out causing any fires.... I want to find a cheep way also. I'm strapped for cash.

Yeah, I was checking that out the other day. That's what game me the idea for the 150w hps with cfl for supplemental. I was looking at Lowe's today for that plug and play HID set up but never found it... I even asked. Thanks
