Question how do i set up an extrenal Spray system to a PVC 4" or downspout aero syste

I am new i recently did an aero cloner that used just a normal 18gal bucket and a pump hooked up to normal 1/2" pvc with the red colored sprayers. i seen other systems using the tubing for extrenal going in and out of the 5-6" pipe was wondering what are the items ppl are using for them because that looks alot easier to fix/unclog then if i had a 1/2" spray rod running thru a system without ripping my roots out and destroying some hard work
