Question on the K

So, at the recommendation of some kind fellows on this board, I have been directed to order a new LED from Horticulture Lighting Group. This will illuminate 1/2 of my 4x8 grow tent. The other half will be illuminated with a Kind K3 L450, an Advanced Platinum p150 and an Advanced Platinum p300. I will structure those according to my PAR meter as soon as it arrives tomorrow. I originally had the notion that those three lamps would take care of my tent as a whole but I have been advised otherwise. Since I have zero experience growing indoors, my opinion really doesn't count for anything. I have to rely on the consensus of those with experience.
I have been steered toward the 260w QB V1 LED kit. When I go to order, I am given choices of 3000k, 3500k and 4000k. Any opinions on which is most appropriate and why? Also, what does the "k" actually stand for? Thank you in advance for your constructive input.

Just to clarify the 260w kit will cover 2x4 of your 4x8, not half of it. But its still better than the 320w light you were looking at.
One difference apart from the far better efficiency is the footprint which lends better to your space.

The K (for kelvin) is the average colour temperature.
The 3k has the most red and least blue
The 3500k has a bit more blue
The 4k has less red and a lot more blue.

The 3500k is a good all rounder, the 3000k is good for both veg and flower but leans more toward flowering and the 4000k is leaning toward veg more.

This doesn't show the 3500k but just to give you an idea.

3500k was the go to COB for all round before boards came about, there isn't a massive difference and some people prefer 3k or 4k , some even flower with 6500k.

Your getting a lot of input from me at the moment, im off work for a few days and spend too much time on here, especially in grow room design section.

Do get more opinions!

Maybe try the quantum board thread or club quantum board (use search bar) so you can see other peoples results.
Some of my pics are on both but it would take some digging to find them.

Corey, my friend, you stay up too late! I really do appreciate all of your input. It has been very well received.

I have been doing a fair amount of reading on this website and the consensus is clearly to go with a quantum board. I will order one this morning and probably of the 3500 variety.

So, as you know, I have the AP p150, AP p300 and the Kind 450. I can keep these and power the rest of the flower tent with them along with the quantum.

or

I can purchase a couple more quantum's in a couple weeks and fill out the rest of the rest of the flower tent with the three quantum's and then use the other three lamps that I have in a smaller veg tent. Maybe use the p300 and the Kind 450 in the veg tent and the p150 in my nursery/ seedling tent. Again, I am planning on ScrOGing 5-6 plants.

or

I can send the p150 and the Kind back for refund and purchase even more quantums. I am kinda stuck with the p300 so I can use that for my nursery.

Thoughts?

Oh, by the way, I see that HLG has the 260w QB V2 on sale for $330. The 260w QB V1 is $280. Is the V2 worth the extra $50? It does appear that it is more efficient. I note that it is only available in 3000k and 4000k.

There is a slight gain in efficiency. I couldn't tell you how much that translates to in yield though, I have 2x v1 and 1z v2 but that's in 4 k and my v1s are in 3k. Both in slightly different environments too.
Im still as happy with my v1s as when I bought them though, I just figured it fit in your budget better and has the 3500k option too.

and yeah keep some of your current lights for veg. Do some comparisons and draw your own conclusions.
