questions about realistic LED expectations...

The first pic is Sour Cream by DNA, all the others are Ripped Bubba by TGA.
Ive wonderd about ripped bubba. There are so many strains I want. Don't have the space, money or time for all of them. I've only seen ripped bubba in farmer johns videos but that guy uses so many bottles of nutes. Some of them do the same thing. a few in the subcool section.

You're too kind, sir.

I use Happy Frog as my medium and the General Organics line of nutes.
I try to keep my grow as simple and organic as possible.
I would use Super Soil, but I live in an apartment, so I currently have no room to mix and cook the Super Soil.
I liked the Ripped Bubba, some phenos were good for pain relief (the Bubba leaning ones), as where others just got you high (the JTR leaning ones).
I'm running some Timewreck right now, the resin production and smell are fantastic!
I got popped 5 seeds, got 5 females, although one was a runt and has since been culled.
The four that remain are all outstanding, I'm going to have a tough time choosing the keeper(s) out of this bunch.

newtoMJ just stated he got over 2 grams/watt from two generation ago A51 LEDs. I suspect you bought inferior panels or you are running your room too cold. Bad Karma is crushing it with LEDs!

I guess it's me than. Keeping temps between 75° and 85° F. Humidity centered at around 50%. Just cannot get anything past a month of vegative before problems set in. I have not given up, I am just getting tired of constant fail. As for the quality of the panels, maybe you got something there. Not an ebay or amazon but also not the highly rated a51/hans/apache either. I don't want to mention the brand because it would not be fair to blame them if indeed the problem is me. I see others growing successfully with the brand I am currently using. I refuse to give up.

To the original poster, you'll never really know til you give it whirl. Might as well go with the expensive panels too.

nice time wreck is in my top of what I plan on grabbing next along with cheese quake and jilly bean. I want some marrionberry too but seems like a small yielder. i have to get pennywise or some harlequin cross with high cbd. I don't think any seed bank has Bodhi's harlequin anymore. I can't find it. I want koji og too from bodhi but no one has it. I also like some of the strains from Reggae seeds too. One of these days I want to do super lemon haze again. Too many options......:wall:

Try to keep your temps around 80-85 when the lights are on.
Bring your humidity down to around 35%, as 50% humidity during flowering could promote mold.
But those two factors shouldn't be killing your plants off a month into veg.
If you don't mind me asking, what kind of medium, nutes, and brand of LED light are you using?
Most likely one, or more, of those three is the culprit.

IMO, TGA is just hitting home-run, after home-run, with their new strains right now.
Pennywise is intriguing, but I'm trying to hold out for Hurkle, which is their HarliquinxQuerkle cross.
Sub briefly mentioned something on a recent Weed Nerd about a breeding a 3:1, high CBD strain, but didn't mention the strain name though.
I'm also looking at Reggae Seeds for high CBD strains, too.
I hear good things about Dancehall and Juanita La Lagrimosa.
As for Bodhi, I want Blood Orange.

chiming in again- LED does just fine once you get it dialed in and aren't using cheap panels. Key is the wattage is of each chip- the old 1 w chips had very low penetration and not many spectra covered. I'm a few gens behind with my 357 MAg w 3 watt chips- yeah the original model, and did just fine with my Black star 240 before the ballast crapped out ( Now repaired and loaned out). You need humidity controlled, air flow ( i have a fan across the plants in my cab) and keep light height adjusted. My 357 is overkill in this cab and late in flower after they stretch I usually add an old 90w UFO at base angled up for cross lighting and to get popcorn buds bigger. If I use UB topping and some supercropping to get to 8-12 colas in straight dw hydro tub using GH nutes combo, I am regularly pulling a couple zips per plant after vegging to 24" before flipping. I have done this repeatedly w Plushberry, AK-48, Tangerine Dream, and a few other hybrids. Currently have an assortment going of Tude Freebies w 7 plants in my tub that are about to go to the flip. Other than a brief cal/MG lockout when pH wandered I have had zero problems this run and have a 2x 3 solid canopy of lush vegetation.
