Questions about selling lamps

I like the circular design and the reversible idea. Cone reflectors might be a bit cheaper but I like the idea. I considered angling the outer emitters on my lamp, but it didn't make much sense in a reflective tent.

Can you tell me where you got those sinks for 8 bucks? That would substantially lower the price of my 14 emitter setup. I've found similar designs on alibaba for cheap but have to order by the thousand.

Yeah, adjustable angle not really necessary if you can get good spacing, The 'gimbal" setup came from toying with another idea of a single ring of (say) 8-10 stars/cobs closely spaced and then adjusting the angles slightly to get coverage on the other plane ie. in/out from the centre of grow..

Just to say that I cleaned these up yesterday. Factor in some decent time, probably a spare star or two- Yours may have been better Rahz but it looked like they'd cut these things with a chainsaw..

I've ordered them twice. The first batch were usable without sanding. The second batch required a good bit of sanding. A sanding belt for the rough grit, or an electric hand sander without the soft backing would make quick work of them. I used a block of wood...

I did mention in this thread that they would require sanding

If I had found a decent alternative I would have considered it. All things considered once the sanding is done they do a great job cooling emitters at 25 watts.

they looked like they'd been graded, some had deep gouges but they were right on the edge of the core. A couple had bent up fins, useable but 'seconds bin'. Still, can't complain for the price.
I ended up doing them by hand too. Looking nice now.
