....and change the world.

next time you come head-to-head at the check-out line. smile and say "go ahead". you be surprised at how it makes you feel.

next time you bump into someone. smile and apologizes. you'd be surprised at how it makes you feel.

next time someone disagrees with you. respect them for having an opinion.

next time you see a kitty. sit and and play with it for 10 mins.

next time your child asks a question. take the time to answer them honestly.

next time your mom calls. tell her you love her.

buy your friend a pack of smokes out of the blue.

pay the bridge toll for the car behind you.

help someone and ask for nothing.

little everyday things that really go a long way. the world around me seems to be taking on this "i'll kick your ass" attitude. ok fine, you kicked my ass. now what? you go brag about it? what? i don't get it? why not help someone? make a difference in their life in a positive way. i have known people who have completely changed their lives for the better because someone went out of their way to do something helpful for them. could have been a simple conversation. people just want to be loved.

talk to your children

buy a new puppy

love someone

This is a great thread and I must say it really did move me. I have always told my friends and especially my younger brother to just try and help someone out and do your best to ignore stereotypes and racial bullshit.

I used to think like that until i got fed up with the feeling of getting mugged. No it doesn't make me feel good to treat someone 10x better than they would treat me.

These days I let the other person take the first move, they define the relationship.

What a great post, how we forget eh? Positive energy brings a postive life. It affects everything around you. Out attitudes and moods can ruin things or make them beautiful, such as with growing plants.
Take that time to smell the flowers and smile at strangers. You will be surprised how it makes you feel. I once even paid for the coffee for the person next in line, they thought I was crazy, but I was just in a good mood that day. The ady who I bought the coffee for, was instanly in a good mood too! :peace:

As for the puppy thing, You just have to squeeze a puppy, no feeling like it. I have 2 dogs and they are the most comforting being around.
