rock wool question

Hey guys, i cant get ahold of any rockwool atm so i was just gonna ask am i able to start growing without rockwool, i have like little rocks that fish use and stuff, can i use that??

If you start in the rocks it will make it very hard to get the plant into the rock wool cube without breaking roots.

Waiting on the blocks would prolly be your best bet.

Ok i will, but just for the hell of it if i start it in rocks can i do it in rocks

yea, clean them good. Have fun experimenting! good way to learn and yes it will work, even with creek gravel.

so would i just throw it in gravel and have it start up also, if so how much water should my DWC have? enough to cover seed up or just a little bot less, also thinking of growing it in little cup with the gravel in it until its big enough to be put in the system.

I always start my seedlings in a cup of water then transfer them to soil until up out of the ground good then wash all the dirt off the root s and gently

set her into her new how. Or even better start your seed in a
Flora Plugs Rapid Rooter Root Riot Seed Starting Germination Pellets

then when you see roots poke out of the sides of it a little you can gently put it into your gravel and

place gravel around it but do not break any roots
