I started these guys out in solo cups-Ocean Forest/Perlite-Incredible Bulk and Great White Shark. I overwatered a little, but recently put them in 3gal smart pots.

At 3 weeks I gave them a small dose of House and Garden Soil A/B when they started yellowing at the bottom. They are still dying from the bottom up and I havnt added anymore nutes except the one time.

280W of CFL
79F Day/ 70F Night

What is going on?

I remember scrolling through your other thread a few days ago when they were still in cups and thinking to myself, "why is he keeping them in cups so long"? I would have moved to the three gallon way sooner, like when the plant was half the size of yours. Usually after 2-3 waterings in a solo cup they are sufficiently rooted enough to pot-up.

Did you transplant into Ocean Forest? And when did you feed -- when they were still in the solo cup I'm guessing? Either way, I would attribute your issues to your plant being stressed from being root-bound, coupled with the nutrients in your little cup being depleted.

Root-bound plants usually take a minute to rejuvenate and usually take longer than a plant that was transplanted at the proper time to stretch their roots out and begin absorbing all the goodies from the fresh soil -- so it makes sense that it's getting a little worse before it gets better. So assuming you did repot into ocean forest, just relax, leave it alone and it'll recover just fine.

Thanks for the info, my first grow went so well and I shouldve transplanted earlier. I fed them when they were in solo cups still, and transplanted to 3gal smart pots with fresh Ocean Forest. Il leave them be and hopefully they get better.

Im going organic, water only plus teas after this. I appreciate your time, while I have your attention...I wanted to grab a small batch of seeds before my organic winter grow. Any thoughts on cheaper seeds youve bouht that went well?

hopefully they get better.
Don't worry, they will.

Ya sure, I would recommend peak seeds. 40 bucks per 10 pack of regulars. I just recently tried the sweet skunk which is an awesome, very uniform sativa. And from what I understand, you can't really go wrong with any of his lines.

I'm right there with you too as far as going organic...I'm finishing up my first no-till water only run, it faded hella early tho lol -- whole different ball game than hydro and soup style organics for sure.

Yep, I got this recipe from one of the organic gurus here:

"1 part peat moss, 1 part worm castings, 1 part aeration bits (perlite, rice hulls, lava rock, pumice, etc) is the base. To that I add a 1/2 cup of kelp meal, 1/2 cup alfalfa meal, 1/2 cup neem seed meal, 1/2 cup crab shell meal, 1/2 cup oyster shell flour and 3 cups rock dust (you can use greensand, azomite, gypsum, etc in lieu of the rock fines) per cubic foot of base. Wet that down with a compost tea and let it sit for 4-6 weeks. You want to keep it moist, not wet. I don't stir it at all during this process, but I check on it every few days. If you grab a handful and squeeze it it should clump up and stick together, but no water should be dripping out of it. "

My first run, I was a little too lazy for using such a small container (5 gallon). I didn't brew enough aact to wet the entire mix when I mixed it initially so I ended up wetting it with only 1 part tea and 4 parts water. I also didn't use any aact or nutrient teas during the entire veg period (2 months). I've been way more diligent this second time around with teas, plus I'm using a 7 gallon and they are looking much better.
