My roots on my green crack are so dense I can't even put my finger in the soil. It was in a 6.5" pot which is what I think they call a cheater gallon. I thought that would be enough since I only veged her for 10 days. I just transplanted her to a 5 gallon which I know isn't optimal to do in flowering but I was worried. Does she sound rootbound with her roots being as dense as they are? Has anyone else ever became rootbound so quickly. I couldn't even break up any of the soil the roots had it so tightly held together. the whole root soil mass felt like a sponge

I'm afraid I don't have anything really helpful to add, but check out my latest journal post, as I just repotted from a 6" diameter pot to a bigger container. The roots were starting to wind around inside of the pot a bit, and didn't all come out. Nevertheless, she seems ok.

Good luck and happy growing!

There is not much to say.
It sounds root bound to me.
I just got done transplanting two Head Band Kush from three to five gallon buckets, just before they are going into the flower room. I don't want to come across the same problem you had.
It might slow growth for a few days but other than that I don't foresee any problems.
Good Luck.
