Does anyone have anything to say about s&p fans? Ive just heard about them and Im trying to decide whether to get the s&p or the can fan. They are both the same price and cfm's. Anyone have any idea which is a better make?

The S&P are very quiet and reliable. I dont have any experience with Can so I cant tell you, although I know a lot of people use them here.

sorry to hear you got sucked into dyson's marketing gimmick man. :) That fan doesnt really have much use in the growroom except maybe as a REALLY expensive oscillating fan. The main selling point of that fan is that it doesnt cause "buffeting" which can be like "air slapping your face" according to dyson. The purpose of this technology is supposed to be to make a steady breeze that is SLIGHTLY more comfortable on the skin. Its a total waste of money if your just trying to move air. If you need more air flow get a bigger fan, not some expensive gimmick. Sorry dude, just my 2 cents.

I ordered the new Dyson. Its a fan, that uses air foils... instead of blades.

keeps the air constant.. instead of having chopped air flow.. its nice and smooth and constant.

They're not cheap, but well worth the money. .. IMO.

peace.

They are cool, but probably not the most efficient. Since it is oscillating anyway, the air wont be as streamlined as they show in the ads. A simple $10 oscillating fan at Walmart will have the same outcome as the ($300?) Dyson. And I'd love to see where you found that "They put out WAY more air flow (CFM) than any bladed fan could possibly put out". :D That's quite funny, as there are $300 "bladed" fans that can move 4000CFM no problem. Your Dyson fan moves 5000CFM of air? :D

I was a little confused there too. But he said IMO at the end there.. Not sure I follow the logic behind that though :)
