Sarah Palin dropped out of a 5k race on Thanksgiving Day in Kennewick, Wash. The former vice presidential candidate and Alaska Governor quit the race because she wanted to avoid the crowds that were waiting for her at the end, according to The Tri-Cities Herald.
Palin was 1 of about 3,000 participants. The paper reported that her presence drew a "mass of onlookers." Palin announced that she would be running the race on Twitter.
The former Republican vice-presidential candidate visited nearby Richland, Wash., to spend the holiday with relatives. She said it's good to be back in the Tri-Cities to reconnect with "the roots." Her grandparents, Clem and Helen Sheeran, came to Richland in 1943.

Can this woman finish anything?????

Can you guys tell me why you hate her or even care one bit about her? I think obamas a tool, but I don't hate him. He actually seems like he would be fun to have a beer with.. I just don't understand why I hear so much hate from democrats. It seems that as soon as any discussion gets heated (not just on rui, but on t.v. as well) the name calling starts, or hatred. The right is guilty of it as well. But the democrats seem to go there quicker.

Oh and by the way anyone who thinks the earth is about 6k years old would never get my vote. So I agree she is a wacko. Nice body tho.

Whoever said the dem's hate her is kind of silly, she's not a person people generally hate we just laugh and poke fun at her because she earns it.

We aren't scared of her or concerned or offended or appauled or anything that really generates a lot of emotion.

She's only entertainment and eye candy. Can she finish anything? Apparently not. If you want to avoid crowds you don't go run in a crowd to begin with.

I don't hate her at all. But I do fear her. I fear her becoming a leader of any kind in our country.

I don't agree with her on much of anything. I don't think she is very bright. All I heard from her during the campaign was drill baby drill and obama is a terrorist. No real ideas on how to address things. She wasn't trying to beat obama with better policy but just fear.

I don't think she is honest. One example is the funding for the bridge to nowhere. And her answer on foreign policy like Israel/Palestine just makes me crazy. The fact that she is so popular and people want her to run for office is scares the hell out of me.

She may be able to see russia from her house but if she would ever become president I would have to move to russia.

why do you have to come in here straight bashing ppl. Do you know Sarah Palin? I didnt think so. Granted she isnt my idea of a leader that doesnt give you the right to call people pathetic. If thats how it is i dont like Obama's policies. He must be a moron. All those people who voted for him are truly pathetic.
Make sense? No.

Fair answer Pluto. Very good. It's funny when I read that I think you could change the name and phrases to fit any candidate on both sides. It's just bad all around to me.

for the record,

1. the bridge to no where was ted stevens, federal budget. nothing to do with palin. you do realize she sold the governors jet to travel coach right?

2 "i can see alaska from my house" again, was tina fey on sat night live.

3. if you can find where she said that obama was a terrorist i'll have my sisters blow ya.

your other point about isreal/pal relations, i dont know her position but judging from your "john stewart" knowlege of whats real and whats not, i figure her position is not what you think.:dunce:

Thats just the thing that gets me, Palin and Obama are basically the same to me. Neither one had much experience, Palin has much more than Obama. To me far left, far right, both make me worry about agendas. But no one brings up Obamas lack of experience in anything that connects to the real world. I wonder if Palins white house appointments would have the lack of experience that this current crew does. Still a scary thought to me. Why can't we start getting business men/women, captains of industry so to speak, to run for govt. offices.

Palin and Obama aren't the same at all. I'd never come back in this thread to look for a picture of Obama running, but I will check back for her bouncing along.

thanks fdd, great idea.
