screen distanced from bulb

Im doing a vertical scrog in a round 4x4x7 room with two 600 watt bulbs. I plan on putting the plants infront of the screen. Would having the screen 2 ft away from the bulb be too far or should I bring it in closer to the bulb. I have been getting conflicting opinions

do you mean the screen in front of the plants? and it depends distance wise on how they grow they will grow towards the light, 2-3 ft sounds reasonable

I used a 2 foot diameter screen with great results.
