Hey everyone. Might you happen to know what a Seattle-area dispensary would pay per pound for a 16-18% THC strain?

Wow - walking in to a place and legally buying a pound of pot. Just the thought of it gives me shivers.

To clarify I'm a patient with excess. Just want to get an idea or expectations so I don't get taken advantage of. Never have sold to dispensaries before.

I'm interested in this also. We don't have many legit despensaries here on the east side of the state. Wonder what the going rate for %100 organic top shelf might be at a despensary?

Any where from 2000 to 2800 depending on what season it is. The market is flooded right now so they have allot of choices in the summer not as much

That seems a bit higher than what I expected. 2 yes, but 2.8 seems better than what I'd guess. Most places sell zips for 225 these days and that translates to 3600 for a pound. At 2800 wholesale that's only a 28% mark up.

You guys are lucky. In Colorado, you cant sell SHIAT to dispensaries. Colorado mmj legislations are the wackest in the nation.
not as lucky as you think. In a little while all of the medical dispensaries in wa may be shut down by the state, in favor of the Recreational stores that are turning in 25/25/25% compounded taxes (~85% of retail prices goes to the state). WA is greedy, look how it repeatedly screws over Boeing

We should know more by Wednesday. But if they do, there's always under the table. With a VAT of 25% applied three times, that's (1.25)^3 = 1.95, so a 95% increase in price assuming constant supply. There will be a lot of greenhouses that come on board to offset that, but the quality won't compare to indoor, hydroponics. Outdoor stuff wouldn't show up til Sept so there's plenty of opportunities to get some more dough...

People, get out your calculator on the tax issue.

Say you are a producer/processor, so only two levels of the 25% excise tax apply.

You sell your cannabis for $5.33/gram to a retail store. The state takes 25% = $1.33/gram. The retail store buys it for $5.33 and keystones the price to retail for $10.66/gram. But since the state wants 25% of this transaction too, he needs to increase the price to $14.21/gram so that after the state takes 25% ($3.55) he will get to keep the $10.66. Now we have total tax of $4.88 on a total sale price of $14.21. Divide 4.88 by 14.21 and you get a rate of 34%. High, but not that bad of a 'sin tax'.

There will also be sales tax on the total, but the state excise tax is 34%, so quit bringing up 85%. That's incorrect.
