I got 6 bag seeds from a friend of some wicked tasting smoke. soaked down some paper towel covered with a plate and only 2 popped roots 1 right away the other approx 5 days later.
my question is how long should i give the remaining seeds a chance to pop roots before i toss them and try with other less quality bag seeds?

I gave mine 36 hours. I don't think I'll be giving any more than that in the future. Seemed to work well for me. 9/10 germed just fine. I like to soak them in a cup of water for 12 hours before putting them into paper towels too.

Iv always used tha paper towel method, and its always worked
because a buddy of mine told me that seeds can drown if you keep them in a cup of water too long lol

That's true, and I believe the maximum amount of time you can leave them in water is 24 hours, then they begin to rot. I only soak mine for 8-12.

I just put mine in the paper towel in a zip loc(half zipped) and then in a dvd case on top of the cpu.

Usually get something like this in 24hours.

I just started soaking some in a paper towel about two days ago. Most have sprouted some sort of white root, but the roots have not grown much. Anyone have an idea for when to take them out and plant them, or what the max time for them soaking is?
