Seedlings issue

This is my first time growing from seed. I put seeds directly into soil. They are autoflower Blue Dream. Really just trying to focus on not killing these guys. 10 days in from seed germinated in direct soil. Do they look okay? They look pretty fragile to me... thoughts?

Mostly concerned about odd color on stem... rather thin stem and purplish color. Please note the 2 that have not sprouted were planted a week later. Should these seedling be looking better for being 10 days old from start?

Hmm. Interesting. Thats the last thing I considered. Originally worried I had over watered. Or maybe lacking some kind of nutrition.

Sounds good thanks. Moved it down to 12". See attached pics of soil used. Found soil pretty dry this morning on the taller one it was laying flat gave it a good drink this morning and it recovered. Stem just looks so unhealthy (red and thin)I maybe over thinking it...

I have several strains running that have red stems as seedling.. nothing to worry about man! After a while they get strong. LED closer could help but they look fine - let them dry out a bit before next watering, start off nutes when the next set of leaves appear at 1/2 strength and keep em goin!

what medium are you in btw? I wouldn't let it dry out until she slouches over - other than that I think you're good

Just some smaller 2" jiffy pots with seed starter mix(attached pics above. In previous post.). Plan on putting them in a 3 gallon pots with an organic super soil once they have a good root base. Please offer any advice. Thats why I love these forums :)

IMO, Leave them alone, do not KILL them with LOVE. A little light at this stage you don't want to dry them out, no nutrients they have what they need for now, smoke a bowl and chill out.:eyesmoke:

Word! Jiffy pots are cool but I don't use them anymore personally. I'm not familiar with the seed starter mix but if I had to guess it would be a coco mix...

personally, in 3 gal. I'd run it up with some mother earth coco mix ( or make ur own 70% coco 30% perlite) and mix it with 1/2 cup of bio-live. Flush the mix with water + Calmag solution PH to 6 and let it dry out a couple days before transplant

Transplant her up

if you want u can add some baby bu's compost around the top and water her in watch her explode. Will help activate the bio-live and also keep coco a bit more moist for u. I'm not a pro but I love to gro

Nver used super soil.

Anyway looks like ur off to a good start man!

I am currently growing my first plant out doors right now . pictures below were taken 1 1/2 weeks ago. probably 2 weeks away from harvesting. I used the soil below and just fed it a seaweed solution towards the end. Thats it. I'm hooked now. I want to try doing the indoor tent thing. Most likely do the same soil.

Yea. I hear ya. Definitely a fine line. I did just water them as they were light and dry prior. Any advise on when to water. I'm now trying to get a feeling for the weight and using that to gage watering schedules...?

I usually just wait to water until the soil looks dry and the container is light but before the plants start wilting.
Underwatering a tad is easier to correct than overwatering, which stunts the seedlings.

Moist not wet. They're trying to damp off. You can't overwater, but you can water too often. When I used the Jiffy pots I would spray mist the outside only and let moisture wick in, then tear off bottom and transfer to final pot couple days after sprout. I like Jiffy pots for vegetable and fruit seeds, but stop using them for cannabis. Good luck.
