Hey everyone, have six new germs. 2 Ak fem, 3 kerala kush regular, and a topdawg fem..

They're all in FFOF. The topdawg sprouted in 12 hours after germination, crazy fast. It's green and normal like any cotyledon. On the other hand, I have a couple of other ones that sprouted 24 hours now and they're neonic yellow?!! I'mma keep em and hope they change color. I've read around and some people say to wait and see what the new set of leaves look like but as of now they look like they're yellow as welll. What could have happened? 1 comes up normal and the rest yellow?!!! they were all germinated in the same paper towel, same potting mix, ugggggh I just hate knowing I lost cash.

Don't worry about the color at this point, my buddy just germed a few and after a couple days the yellow went green. I'm sure the same will happen with yours

FFOF is a solid choice as the plants get older. The one comment I've read several times is to add some dolomite lime to FFOF.

But, yeah, a lot of people think it's too hot for young plants. You could start with some FF Light Warrior or some other commercial starter soil. Some of the starter soils are basically nutrient free. You could try making your own mix of starter soil and FFOF and maybe an extra handful of perlite...

I appreciate all the feedback, i'm just rolling with the punches on my first few grow attempts. I've learned a lot like leaving them alone lmao. I do agree even through all the reading i had done I had never seen a neon yellow plant but behold, it turned really green and really big, it's actually one of the bigger ones. There's a little runt feminized AK. lol
