Seedlings Suffering

Hey guys,

I have two seedlings right now in a ~4in pot under 3 23W CFLs. They are about 3in away from the lights. Anyways, one of the seedlings has one brown leaf (of its two first leaves [well not very first leaves but first leaves with little ridges and shit]). All four leaves on the two seedlings are curling way down. All leaves but the aforementioned are a light (but seemingly healthy) green. Are they doing ok or is this something I should fix? How should I fix them if necessary?

Thanks in advance :joint:

Theyre in some soil from one of my planter boxes. I thought CFLs were sposed to be close... maybe only after theyre a little older?

Try som new potting or garden soil. Make sure it's not to hot. Raise your lights to about 12 inches. Then keep an eye on them .If you think you need to lower them ,then try that out. Experiment and see how that works out for you.. Good luck. Sorry for taking so long. It takes me forever to type.

clearly, i'm no expert, but i'm on day 12 with 6 42 watt cfl's and they have been no further than 3-4 inches from my baby papaya. i have seen no problems whatsoever, no curling of leaves, no droopy tips, brown spots/leaves, nothin. i'd say check ph right now of the soil (if possible) and of water. i can't check the ph of my miracle grow soil, but i know it's somethin like 5.1 so i adjust my water to about 7.2 to balance it out. perhaps overwatering as well.
