Should I crop these yet?

IMG_2463.JPG Nope. Looks a few weeks away. In the mean time you should order a magnifier or something like a jewlers loupe to check the trichomes to judge when they're ready. Judging by pistils isn't very accurate. I've had plants that roughly 80% of them had wilted but the trichomes took another few weeks to mature.

When most of the trichomes are cloudy you're at the beginning of your harvest window. Seems most people tend to wait until some percentage of the trichomes have turned amber. Credit @RM3 for providing this trichome photo.

Here is a magnifier. I personally use a cheaper one, but this is just for reference. http://www.hydrogalaxy.com/on-sale/growers-edge-illuminated-microscope-60x-100x/?gclid=CP-487uxqdACFYSFaQodbCUFeA

Plant 1 - Big bud
Plant 2 - GDP

Bottom buds are getting brown hairs on both plants but most hairs on the top are still white. When you think I should crop these?
I read somewhere along the way if you let those white hairs get past 70% brownish color that it will produce a more relaxing high, almost like a couch lock

There is a sweet Tricome guide on here somewhere I know one is posted in my thread about 4 pages back from the end. Shows all the stages and what they do for you at what stage.

I'd say let it ride for a couple more weeks, me personally 3 or so weeks but yea people saying about the tricome stage, it varies from strain to strain or at least thats what I believe after almost 10 years of doing this but then again those years wouldnt matter if it wasnt because of my fuck ups lol :bigjoint:

defo not ready yet, the pistols have not even receded back into the buds yet. if you harvest now it will not be strong. Myself I chop mine when I see 40-50% amber trics. I like my smoke to be as strong as poss

I spent all my money on the equipment for the grow room. Will a magnifying glass work?
