I built this today.

Tools used:

Tee Wye 4"

Snaplock 4" x 30"

Two 4" to 3" reducers

1 flow reducer 4" (to block dryer air)
Duct tape
Carbon filter made with 2 pencil holders, carbon, and pantyhose.

Glue Gun
Drill
--------------------------------------------------
I drilled a hole where the snaplock and the tee wye meet. and installed a flow reducer or vent valve some people call them. (its a metal disc that goes inside the line and rotates to reduce or block flow)

You'll notice i used a tee wye instead of an actual T. This is because a T will create more pressure on the flow reducer which may allow hot hair from the dryer to travel down the snaplock and out of the carbon filter. A tee wye gives the air a more direct route up the vent towards the fans vaccum.

I took the two 4" to 3" plastic reducers and glued gunned the 3" sides together and duct taped it.

then i glued the lip of the "inner pencil holder" to the inside of the reducer. (4"side)

once all together it looks like this

once connected to the wall and dryer it should look sumthin like this.

I tested the suction with a smoke...and works great...and best of all...Balcony smell ALL GONE!!! bongsmilie
