SIP’n with Hook Daddy

Alright, my next grow is well underway and is another Sub-Irrigated Planter grow with 1 Dosidos and 2 Bubba Kush. I re-used the same soil mix in the SIPs with a boost of Espoma Garden Tone, a bit of epsom and some lime. I found the mix of the one that didn’t perform as well last time had much less perlite and peat mixed in so added more. Since I am writing this later I already know the change to better aeration made all the difference. Here they are on Mar 28, and about 2 weeks from germination.

This is the Dosidos:

This is Bubba Kush #2 for this run, it is a self topped mutant from birth and became numbered 2: I didn’t think it was going to make it, then she pulled together fantastically.

This will then be Bubba Kush #1.

I've been really thinking about trying a SIP setup sometime soon and with Bubba Kush on the menu I've got to follow this one. Best of luck with the new run.
Are the Bubba's S1 seeds or clones? I'm a sucker for this strain.
These are from seed I got a year or so ago from Barney’s. Right now looks like the Dosido is the monster plant of the grow, it’s going wild. I’m somewhat new to growing Indica, so perhaps the slower growth on the BK is normal. The BK looks awesome, just so bushy and I’m used to sturdier branches and structure.

Here is today, another week of growth. I didn’t exactly lollipop them but cut a lot of the undergrowth, leaving some of the bigger leaves. I’ve continued to lst as well, the Dosido responds very well, the kush is a bit more bushy and brittle branched. They are all showing good promise though.

Here’s a few pics from yesterday, May 9. This will be 1 week from the flip to 12/12. They are growing like crazy now, drinking about 2 gallons a day each. I can’t wait to get the new Spider Farmer light on the Dosidos, I usually have my HLG on the light rail moving a bit farther but looking forward to more light over the whole canopy.

Here’s the Dosi

Her trunk is looking nice, she’s going to be a tree soon.

The bud structure is starting to show a bit, leaning toward the sativa pheno I think.

Here’s a few pics of the Bubba Kush plants.

A very different structure, much bushier. Can’t wait to see how she turns out.

Alright, it’s week 2 from the change to 12/12. Things are looking good, the new Spider Farmer SE5000 is working great over the Do Si Dos. The Bubba Kush is looking awesome, I’m loving the bud structure starting to form up. Well here see for yourself.

I did scratch a couple handfuls of Espoma Garden Tone into the soil this afternoon, they don’t look like they needed it but it seems time. If they look like their getting hungry I can top water a bit, otherwise it will just work on its own.

Sometimes I forget how much difference a week can make with these plants. The growth is amazing for week 3 and I’m loving the SIPs and the simplicity. The new light from @Spiderfarmerled is performing wonderfully, here’s the Do Si Dos under the SE-5000, a great sturdy growth with the bud structure node length perfect IMO.

Here’s the Bubba Kush plants, looking good as well. They are stretching more than I expected but not an issue yet, I was just surprised.

Another week and a bit. Still growing and doing well. Not much new, I did about destroy one of the Bubba Kush plants trying to raise a trellis net, I won’t do that again. I think she’s ok, just lost a few buds but the were smaller anyhow. More power to the rest.
Here’s a few pics. This is the Dosido

Here’s the first Bubba Kush. More tight flower structure than the next, but beautiful.

The Bubba Kush leans a bit more sativa than I thought it would. Looking forward to trying them all but especially this one.
