Sketches By. SirGreenThumb

very nice stuff... faces are the absolute hardest thing to draw. Especially when your drawing from memory, which these look like they are? Next time you work on a face, use a picture from a magazine or somewhere for reference. You'll get the proportions and everything better. Also my Drawing professor always told us "don't get lost in the eyes...", which basically meant NEVER spend too much time working on the eyes, save them for last. You can spend hours working on eyes and then realize they're wrong.

Thanks for the info and feedback. I've never been taught how to draw I just do it. None of these took me more than like 45 min to draw. I also have g drawn in a really long time. Probably about 2 years. Last thing I did was a painting for my fiancée. Only painting I have ever done. Turned out ok. First time using acrylic.

I like the clown ones and the rose with feather.. but really, your thing is landscapes... Jealous.. I an't draw landscapes for shit!!!!

Yay ^^ Pretty pictures :3

Hey, I does one for you if you like.

PS. Would love to see the 10th one in color? :)

Thanks!!
The landscape I did was a copy from my favorite artist, M.C. Escher. "RIP"
I don't really have a specific area that I draw in. I can draw anything I see. My ADD hurts me a lot of the time cause I usually can't hold on to a design long enough to put it on paper.
I could possibly do it in color. If you noticed I never use color. lol. Instead of redrawing it I would probably just insert it into illustrator and color it that way. Would that be sufficient?
I used to have so many more drawings, but I always gave them away.

Escher is a favorite of many a stoner and drug-user lol. Funny that we like his work but hate math hehe.

I find that annoying too, I get very 'particular' about how I want a picture to come out but it needs to go down on the paper quickly too before I loose the shape and 'feel' of it, so my style is very loose and sketchy. I literally spend a maximun of 1 minute getting the outline and basic shading done or I worry I will 'lose' the picture.

I never used to use color until about 14/15... It works for some things and not others. I liked keeping sketchy pencil shading, and I can see you like using bold lines and shading. Could do with a touch more depth., only because your bold line style works so well it's give added oomph, especially with the clown pictures, they're cool.

Sure, you could put it in illustrator. Have you ever considered investing in a lightbox? I find I have a different style when drawing on the computer so if I sketch a tattoo for someone I rework it on a lightbox and only draw from scratch on the computer or it has a totally different 'feel' line-wise. Amazon.com? Don't inconvenience yourself, but it would be nice... and some old-skool type 'etching' shading with the bold vector-art style illustrator encourages would be awesome.. Only if you have time though x

Give me some feedback in my thread? :3

I've never considered using a light box. I used to do tattoos also. I always either did freehand or just used some transfer paper. It was a lot of work and made me hand and wrist crazy tired before I even got to doing the tat. I was working my way up through family and some of their friends to get some experience, but it never payed me very well. I guess it's cause I am a softy and never charged a lot for my work. Mistake on my part I know.

I've never really used color except when I started painting. It was a new thing to pick up and I was curious if I could do it since it's a whole different style and the line work and blending techniques are completely different. I've done a total of 2 painting. One for my mom that I did of a landscape and one for my fiancee that I did of tinkerbell.

Yea, I'll give you some feedback on your thread. Which thread are you referring to?

This shit sucks.....not trying to talk shit but with everyone blowing up your head you'll never know the truth. Keep practicing.

I respect your opinion, but to tell you the truth, I could care less what you think. I draw for the pure amusement of it and not to impress bottom dwellers like yourself.

Ok?
Why are you still here? If you don't care, move on.
You seriously think that I thought to myself "Hmm, I sure do hope el throttle approves of this?" Negative.
Just keep your negativity to yourself, cause no one gives a shit about what you think.
