i have some seeds that germinated, the soil i am using is Miracle grow brand Organic choice .10%N .05 Phosphate
.The bag says is provides both quick and slow release nitrogen feeding. Also it says in small print that it is not a medium.

I couldnt find any soil without ferts in it at Home Depot or walmart.

Also how many inches should i have my cfl's from the soil and will this soil work ok? And should i give them much water while there still sprouting?

Did you get organic soil or organic potting soil? they are not the same the soil isn't good for container growing but the potting soil can be used. Not too much water your want to keep it moist not wet so use a spray bottle to keep top layer moist. If you use MG potting soil the nutes are in the soil already and will feed the plants for months. I keep my CFLs about 3" away. Good luck

Yeah i got the organic potting soil, i but i already poured alittle water in the soil, more than just misting with a spray bottle, but its not soaked. DO you think it may still be ok? I have my lights shining on it and it seems like its drying the soil up just a bit

They don't need any light until they pop up out of the soil. They should be fine maybe put a zip lock bag over thr pot to hold the moisture in a little better. Remove the bag daily and then replace it till they pop.
