I know everyone around here seems to hate MG, but I love it.

I usually mix about half regular MG potting soil with half organic potting mix. Then I put in about 2/5 perlite. I say 2/5 because it's usually a bit under half.

Use a light soil that breaks apart easily after you press it together with your fist. Also use perlite,it helps drains.Pro-mix bx is good canadian gold is good;and the best but more expansive is fox farm ocean forest potting mix.All these have perlite in them but i still add more.

I've been using Black Gold organic. Has all the good stuff in it like perlite, peat moss, worm castings, etc. Nice black soil, yum yum.

I use this + add 1 part perlite to 2 parts soil.
