What soil would you recommend? I would like one that I can put my clones, and seedlings into. Please give suggestions.

one part peat, one part perlite, one part earthworm castings. they'll love it.

or a plain grower's mix. from a garden center. the kind with no nutes

Would I be able to buy that for around $20? I don't really have much $ right now but I have enough to give my girls a little bit of a better home than they are in now...Priorities

Is there a specific brand you use? If something with micro nutes is there for less should I get that? Or no nutes better

micros are okay, but macro nutes in soil is trouble, as in Miracle Grow. i forget the brand i used. i usually make my own soil.

I will look up the difference in micro and macro but I believe I will be going to get some tonight that is why I am asking. I have kind of been a hermit for the past 2 weeks, cant wait till the last plant comes down

Macro nutrients are ones your plant needs a lot of and micro nutrients are ones your plant needs very little of, correct? I just would like to make sure my terminology is right.

I am trying to keep it under $20 if I can do that and my store has it I will ask on it.

I don't know how many you are growing. but in that case a big bag of ffof is 20. good luck

really depends how much your growing what do you have for lights and pots? you really don't want to cheap out on soil and nutes if you invested in an hid light and a carbon filter and shit. I use pro-mix bx soiless mix but its around $30 a bail then you got to buy nutes you can use general hydroponics 3 part nutes and run the lucas formula for flower and do pretty good they also you can use just their maxi grow for veg and maxi bloom for flower. but if its just a ghetto cfl grow I wouldn't bother just get cheap soil and cheap nutes from a nursery their cheap shits a lot better than walmarts.

I am just trying to keep a few clones alive- not much more than that... Not a "Ghetto CFL grow" as it is not flowering therefor not a full grow... but thanks I went to the feed store around my town(big growers work there) and got some black gold

You can get a bag of "seed starting mix" (soilless mix) for $4 at my local big box store, and it works just fine, even the miracle gro. The brand they carry changes occasionally, but it's always under $4.
