Soma seeds many thanks

I just wanted to share my experience with Soma Seeds and their customer service.
I’ve recently ordered buddhas sister and Nycd from Soma seeds and I got my seeds confiscated by customs. I got the package but it was empty.
I shared my experience with customer service with proof of the confiscation.
They are some of the most nicest people I’ve ever dealt with. They have sent me replacements but that isn’t what I am posting for. I told them I will pay for shipping or anything else like half the price and they delightfully declined and told me “ I just want you to be happy and enjoy our genetics”
I have never dealt with people so delightful (definitely after my experience with gta seedbank in Scarborough when I got yelled and sworn at when I caught them lying about the old stock of seeds they have, 6 months old? I contacted the breeders and they said they haven’t sold to them in 4 years which could have been stock from older than that)
Anyways I’m just here to spread the light, I’ve been wanting these seeds and lavender since I first time I started getting into growing years ago and finally it’s here.
I can’t say enough good about them. I will start a grow journal on these seeds after my current one finishes.
Much love to Marc and all the people at Soma ❤

Ooh okay thanks.

what’s everyone’s opinion on soma seeds?
Compared to other old school breeders I don’t find much on his stuff.
I know his lavender got a few awards which I’m probably going to get before I start my BS and NYCD.
I grow for myself and these new strains all seem to be cookies this and runtz that. Just high in thc but miss other aspects on the spectrum.
has anyone grown his stuff here?

I dont like breeders who trust rodelization as a method for making fem seeds personally i think thats a bad way of making seeds sts is the better route and is generally accepted to be so also i wasnt a fan of nycd at all too weak for my tastes plus in crosses its like deep chunk its very dominant ime so it ruins whatever you cross it too least deep chunk has a decent stone but i cant say the same for nycd in my experience at least and ive tried it through the years on many occasions nah it just isnt for me

Yeah I heard he uses that method which I think causes more hermie prone seeds but if you do find a keeper it has more vitality than using sts. And s1’s using sts can lose vigor definitely if you are using them to breed.
I may be wrong but that’s my understanding from what I’ve read.
I’ve also read that about the Nycd that it’s not that potent compared to ecsd or other sour diesels. But I will have to learn for myself now won’t I lol
For Ecsd or a sour diesel, what breeder do you recommend? I heard dr greenthumb as he’s up here in Canada with me but also heard a lot of bad things about him too.

Karmas crosses of it same with his og work thats all great too and regarding the sts route id take less vigour over sexual instability any day personally as for other chems id reccomend either lucky dog seeds or topdawg seeds or verdant greens c4dd thats good too

I’ve heard of karma never really looked into them too much. I may one day try them out, thanks.
I’m pheno hunting currently and will be looking to make a few seeds just in case I get evicted for growing again, for the third time lol. That’s why I don’t mind the rodelization method as I’ll get rid of any hermi prone plants and hopefully find a keeper.
But I do agree, for most people the sts way is more convenient, and i hear if you out bred the s1 it can definitely help with the vitality/vigour issue.

I actually have lucky dog’s catahoula chem(triangle kush x chemdog bx3) in the mail next city over should be here in a day or so. Not much out there about it since it’s pretty new. I’m hoping to find couple triangle leaning and a couple chemdog leaning phenos to breed with.
but thanks a lot for the info, I’ve been away from growing 5-6 years now, I feel overwhelmed by the over saturation of strains and breeders now. A lot of the seed banks and breeders that used to be my go to are now either cashing out, pollen chucking or aren’t what they used to be before legalization.

Where im from there is no legal lol seeds are ok the rest nah least you aint got that crap to deal with lol and yeah theres so many "breeders" now and as time goes on there is more and more bullshit imo but there are some good folks out there doing great work i like alot of different breeders some big some not so much i tend to support people who actually care about the plant who know there stuff and put the work in rather than only caring about £$€
