Also to note my grow is indoor spare room in tent 300w cfl supplemted with extra 125w in 10 or 12 gallon pots not sure with soil and bit of vermicompost mixed through watered every 2 or 3rd day dependin an nutes added likewise staggered from watering routine but thinking of holding back nutes now on week 7 that correct?

You should aim for around 10-12 weeks total flower time, If you want a rule of thumb.

Much better to go by trichs (trichomes) tho, and it's really easy with a jewlers loupe or a cheap electric pocket microscope from eBay or such like.

They've still got plenty of time to go. When most of the hairs start getting orange (instead of the big white foxtails) post another pic up! If you have a macro camera then even better

Thanks KB for reply

So another 3 weeks on top of 7 weeks in flower already do they look ok to yourself?
this my very first grow
I'm actually quite happy with them so far but I'm only a newbie
onwards and upwards form here on
They look good, better than my first attempt.
The last couple weeks is probably the most difficult. A lot of people get anxious and chop early, screwing up months of work. Try not to do that, it'll be tempting but it's worth the wait in quality.

10-12 weeks all your pistols are white wait till a percentage pistols darken to tell when your close to harvest? Accurate way is by trichomes. Aim 100% either cloudy or milky you can add a mix off 20% amber to them to tell when ready. Pretty close?

Yes and no :)
Reason being is that some people prefer a high and some people prefer a stone.

The more Amber your trichs go, the heavier and longer the stone. The more milky they are - you'll have more of an "up" smoke.
If they're clear and you chop, then say by by to anything apart from some pretty green tasting tea.

I've tried em' all over the years and you can have any combination of Amber/white you like. Even up to 100% each way. It's all down to taste and time

You can wait for all yor pistols to darken but it's not always as accurate, as cold weather etc can cause foxtails..but let's keep things simple for now.
When I say 10-12 weeks, that's from when you flip them to 12/12. Start your countdown. Post up a pic at week 10 if you're not sure and ask the forum.

You have te idea tho :)

I don't know about this strain, but I like to go about 9 weeks for many of the strains that I grow.
It seems a lot of people are not sure about this strain but I'm just guessing it's so many factors on the question or maybe special kush is not a popular grow I dunno

But definitely gonna try some northern lights next I hear so much good stuff about them
It's just trends I suppose thanks for replies

Gonna give them a couple more weeks then an keep an eye not long to go now tho yup I say lol
Any idea of what I should expect in yield from 3 girls I don't think it'll be a lot but maybe I'll be surprised
But I know one is fairly top heavy with one big nug on top ( I had to tie her up ) to stop leaning over..
