Intro:
I decided to build a new grow box to start some seeds i recently bought online.
With very little funds i gathered a few things from around the house to build a
basic grow box, i will be adding things to it through the grow to make it better.

seeds:
Speedy Gonzales Feminised automatic cannabis strain

Speedy Gonzales becomes completely white with thc resin glands and is a completely stabilised strain.

* Cannabis genetics: Lowryder 2 x Diesel x Great White Shark
* Type: Mostly Indica x Ruderalis
* Flowering: approximately 9 - 10 weeks from seed
* Height: 50 - 100 cm
* Yield: 25 - 45 g per plant
* Environment: Indoors, outdoors, greenhouse

Grow Box:
I used spare wood i had laying around to build the box.
After cutting a hole for the sub i mounted it onto the front
i made two holes on the door for the fans to be mounted.
After that was finished i painted the outside black and the inside white.
Then added the lights 4 x cfl and 2 pc fans.

Even though light obviously is visable from the sub
I just tell people i added a light to make it glow ;)

In other grows i used to raise the lights from the plant,
for this grow i decided to lower the plant as it grows

After a hard time thinking i came up with a solution
an old dvd case and some speaker wire

Growing:

I sprouted one of the seeds and planted it into rockwool
after a few days the plant had its first set of leaves.
A few more days later and the tips of the leaves started going brown
It was due to a ph problem, to solve this i took some water from my fish tank
and soaked the rockwool with it.

The next day the plant was looking healthy again and had a new set of leaves

These are all the pictures i have for now
i will keep everyone updated with the grow

feel free to comment on ways i can improve my grow box and plant

:Update:

For the last couple of days i noticed the leaves have started to droop down
At first i thought it may have been over watering,
but the rockwool block is so light and dry
Just woundered if anybody else had any ideas that may be causing this?!

And to top it off i usually work with speakers and disco lights anyway, so anybody that knows me wouldnt see anything out of the ordinary
and thankyou for the advice i keep adding more water when the block becomes light

takin shape nicely man. whaqts the plan with cfls!? how many qatts equivalent you looking at?
At the moment its still under 3 cfls giving 2400 lumen, 800 each
there are 2 more lights waiting to be turned when the plant gets abit older
and im going to fit 2 fluorescent tubes at each side of the case which i have laying around

Power-Glo 18,000 k more in the blue spectrum

Just some info on the light

Light Output: Measured in lumens. A 15 watt flourescent bulb provides 900 lumens of light. The wattage refers to how much energy is needed to power the light. Wattage is not a measure of light output. For example, if you wanted to produce 900 lumens with a regular household incandescent bulb, you would need a 60 watt incandescent bulb compared to the 15 watt flourescent bulb. This is one of the reasons why they produce less heat. Some other watt to lumen figures:

18 watt (1100 lumens)
25 watt (1750 lumens)
