Strawberry Haze

Hey first thread here :)
First grow too, which is Arjans Strawberry Haze, been growing for about 4 weeks now and its looking great. Had a few problems with yellowing which i managed to control by changing its nutrient intake.

Only question is does anybody know how long on an average this strain takes to reach its flowering cycle? Cheers.
 
Flip it to 12/12 and it will start to flower. Or do you mean when it will show pre-sex?

Personally i'd bin em, his strawberry haze was the biggest waste of 5 months i've ever had, might just have been a terrible couple of phenotypes but it was godawful to grow and to smoke and yielded absolutely nothing really. Hopefully yours will be a bit better than mine and others experience.
 
When it will show its sex yes.

And really? Tbh i've only heard good things about the strain but so far yea its meeting my expectations
 
No idea then i'm afraid, i flip when i flip as opposed to waiting for maturity.

And yeah, i had two different pheno's, both ended up taking about 15 weeks to flower and were not ready even then, just clear trichs, one was slightly ore indica and gave about an ounce yield, and the other was more sativa and well, it didn't actually grow bud, just hairs, come harvest time i just chopped that one and put it in the bin. The smoke was very strange, didn't hit me in any noticeable way other than a slight tingle in the head, but certainly not stoned. I read some smoke and grow reports prior to harvest and saw almost the same thing described.

Greenhouse Seeds seem to be hit and miss though, it appears that they sell a lot of utter crap but there is the odd fantastic phenotype dotted around here and there.

That sucks man, did you grow yours indoors or outdoors? Mines growing outdoors under natural sun light, gets direct sun light from about 12:30am until about 7pm (which is slowly increasing due to summer) then for its dark cycle i just stick it in my bathroom and keep the door shut, no windows in there so its pretty much a dark room.

I didn't get my seeds from greenhouse i got mine from pick and mix seeds (y)
 
Mine were indoors under a 400w hps, they were fussy feeders as you seem to have found out, hopefully you'll have better luck than me :)

While Greenhouse sells their seeds, they are a breeder, pick n mix is a distributor, mine actually came from pick n mix as well, but it's greenhouse seeds (arjan is the owner of greenhouse seeds, the controversy behind it makes for an interesting read if you're ever bored and wanting to know more about the cannabis seed world)

Yup, i now only give her a small amount of nutrients every 2-3 days, seeming to prefer that.

To learn about growing weed i just watched all the video's on youtube googlevid etc, and just red lots and lots on the forums, i always figure if you really mean to go at something new, might as well give yourself the best advantage you can, few things in life catch me, but cannabis is one of em :D
 
Ive read on here that it takes about 2 weeks after you switch to 12/12 for it to show signs of flowering if that is what you are asking for.

I too have been reading a lot about GHS's and how bad their seeds are!!! Could be personal mistakes or it could be bad genetics, who knows? But i have also seen plenty of good plants from GHS and me myself am interested in getting one of those mix packs that come with 5 different strains.

I was looking at the one with the white rhino, great white shark, white widow and another two i cant remember right now. Im waiting till the new june promo at the tude', it is going to be a good promo month and i will be taking full advantage of it.

That answers one of my un asked questions thanks :)
Sorry i wasn't very clear, i ment like how long roughly untill i should 12/12 and receive expected good results. Any signs to look for on the plant or maybe by how many leaves to be able to tell.

Hmm seems 50/50, if this strawberry haze doesn't turn out to well i'll deffo be looking into a strain bred to be easily grown.
Yea i saw that mix, thought it was a good mix but pricey if i remember.
 
I have read to go by how the trichomes appear under a hand held microscope(30-60x). Once they turn amberish color they should be good to go! There should be a breeders recommendation from the shop you got it at, also I would say if it is indica dominant, then somewhere between 8-9wks under 12/12 should about right. And for sativa dominant, you would be looking at.a.bit longer finishing time.(there are exceptions)

Also, if price is an issue, check out female seeds company, there ww is really easy to grow and it is 4 feminized seeds for 22 bucks at the tude', but with rollitup voucher, its about 20 bucks, plus they got real good selections as well.

I got it off Pick and mix seeds, they didn't have much info on it tbh and most of the info on the net about the stain is pretty useless lol

yea, go to the seeds section on here and visit attitude seed bank and search it up!!!!
I found some good pocket microscopes on amazon.com as well.

if what you are asking is about the attitude seedbank shipping to the UK? they are from the UK, so you should get your beans within 5 days or so.
