Strips or QB?

I want the most efficiency possible while lighting a single 4x4 & want to save the most money possible while building the light.
Am willing to fabricate & solder.
Not interested in expensive kits, I hope to build something for under the cost of a spider farmer SF-4000 that will out perform it.
So whats more efficient ? QB or strips?

I like QBs , more coverage

And a lot of flexibility if you diy them and your frame

As someone who has ran boards for the last 2.5 years and recently switched a room to strips. I’ll definitely be replacing the other rooms boards with strips very soon.

can i ask you about strips? What kind did you use & with what driver? are you using heat sinks?

I bought pre built because I’m lazy. They are the Meijiu mj650

boards is less wiring but for me more hasle to build a frame.
strips is more wiring but more straight forward to build a frame.
