sudden PPM increases

Crops going pretty well (photos attached)
Just started week 6 of 12 12

Big plants (short but bushy scrog) in green man combi system

Due to size of plants I Have been able to comfortably have PPM at 1200 for the whole of flower
During flower cycle PPM has stayed around 1200 with PH maybe rising from 5.8 to 6.1 in the week before I change the res

Last week I made some changes for the sake of downstairs neighbours, had the brain controller drain the water out during lights off and only run the air stones during this time for 15m every 2 hours (Still runs constantly during lights on when pots are flooded)

After res change 3 days ago I just went to check if the PH had changed and to my horror it had dropped to 5.5, didnt make sense as it usually goes up so I Checked the PPM and almost had a heart attack seeing 1800PPM

I have read that plants can take in water and reject nutes If theyve been getting over fed which I can defo say mine probably have been always being at 2.4EC (feels strange that in a way a hydro can protect itself from nute burn in this way) so I guess it's not to do with the change in the air pumps timers but I Thought it would be best to come on here and ask everyones opinions

This is my first hydro and by far the best grow I have ever done from week 3 of 12 12 the leafs were already covered in thc before buds even had any size to them

Lights on in 2 hours I'm filling up a couple of jerrycans with RO as I wait, should i;
- add RO to reduce PPM back down to 1200
- leave at 1800 if no nute burn to see if i can make superhuman cannabis which gives you wings
- lower PPM to a number like 700 till the next res change then back up to 1200

Before I post I think I should probably add in when i make my res change I'll go with 150Litres of RO alongside dutch pro soft water 1000ml of A, 1000ml of B, 150ml of explode, 60ML silicone & 100ML silver roots (yes it's way above the max dose of 350ML A&B but in my RO water this max dose only gives a PPM of about 600 and it gives me deficiencys, this cocktail has performed excellently up until now

Look forward to hearing everyones experiences

The dropping ph is the thing I would think about. Chiller, hydroguard or something like it, sterile rez? Watch your roots. If you smell anything funky or see brown/slime.... Hydroguard saved my stuff, but I took it out and washed all the dead roots and slime off with the hose.

I did dwc my 1st grow and learned a bunch the hard way. For me I didn't have the right stuff to control the rez temps or a decent tank.

If your tap water is that hard, I think I might use ro only. What does your tap water do to the lawn? Just curious.

What would be the best you think - RO

Filters maybe, you should get that tested. Maybe you don't need to be drinking it. Test, then figure out what you need to filter out. Make a thread on it.
