Suited HPS Wattage for 120x120

Hello, Should I go for 600W MH/HPS
or 2x 400W MH/HPS. I was told 800 watt was too much for 120x120, but I still wanted to ask here. The bulb will be air cooled and the ballast, too. Both, the bulb and the ballast will have their own independent cooling system, so the temperature isn't a problem.

If heat isnt an issue, absolutely go for 2 x 400w. 600w is only 37.5w per sq.'

Its not just an extra 200w worth of light, the coverage from 2 lamps as opposed to 1 is significant.

120cm, 4x4 feet. I liked 800-1200w 50/50 mix of HPS/MH.

its all about penetration into the canopy

i just use a 600w hps to get the buds i smoke up in a 4 x 4 .

1000 whatts hps and vented hood or cooltube be fun

600w is the most efficient size and perfect for a 4x4. I have 3-400, 5-600 and 2-1000W versions all using EYE Hortilux SHPS bulbs. Not sure what my one 600W MH is. And it's BS you have to get new bulbs every couple of grows. 10 grows easy and you won't notice any difference in your plants.

One 600 is a lot cooler than 2 x 400 and you should be able to keep the ballast outside the tent.
