t5 bulb question

newbie would like to know what bulbs to use in a 48" 8 bulb t5 for veg and flower. ordered unit and it comes with 4 blue and 4 red.

You'll use the blue for vegging, the red for flowering. OR you can use them both at the same time. OR you can buy two more of each, so that you've got all eight of them at the same spectrum at the two different stages.

thanks for the info. Is there benefits to all blue for veg and all red for flower? or is it better to have wider specrum?

Both spectrums work best even for flowering early on

With an 8 bulb hood I'd use either a 6-2 or 5-3 ratio. During veg you want more of the 6500k (blue) bulbs and during flower you want more of the 3000k (red) bulbs.
