t5 fluroescents

ive got 2 fixtures 4 foot 4 bulb each in a 6x2 closet blue/6500k spectrum total 8 bulbs about 450 watts. they will be used for just veg as i have a flowering room to rotate veged plants into. im just looking for some opinions and/or suggestions as i have never used them before and dont know anyone who has. thanks guys

Sounds a lot like my lights. You should be happy with them. They product very little light and you should be able to put your plants within inches of the light. I like how quiet the built in ballast is. Are you able to turn on and off different sets of bulbs within the light itself?

yeah can turn em off and on individually there really sweet looking i havent hung em yet but i have tried them and they are BRIGHT wow hopefully 4 week veg rotation will get me some nice plants to put into flower we"ll see.......... i think there gonna work just fine but kinda pricey for 2 x 4 bulbs 54w a piece 440$ i just hope with low heat they perform well in a 2 x 6 area

I think you will be happy with them. I will let you know what happened with me. A few days after putting those expensive lights up I heard a loud thud in my grow room. The light had pulled the molley screws right through the sheet rock. So be careful and add a little extra to hold that light up. I was lucky (?) the light landed on my plant. After some fast work I found the light was okay thanks to the nice soft landing on my beautiful plant which has since recovered nicely.

But as much as those lights cost as few extra bucks for extra screws is worth it. Unless you want to learn the hard way (like me I always seem to be learning the hard way).

hahaha shit eh. i got some good anchors for the celing same as i used for my hps. how well were you able to veg with them? all the way to flowering?

Yes all the way to flowering. Just put my lady into flowering and new girls in vegging. You will love your light. It will be so quiet compared to one with a noisy ballast. And hardy any heat put out too.

just hung both fixtures super quiet very bright a great purchace all around!

thanks they kinda overlap about a foot i hope thats not a problem eek but the temp is great its just a veg room so i got something to play with cause thats what its all about right?

You bet. Sometimes you can discover better ways of doing stuff. That is what it is all about.

i might pull one light up and put in a shelf but i wanna keep bigger mothers to the right and clones to the left under the lower light
