Taxation without representation.....

Just wondering if this could be used as a defense for either civil or legal reasons.

I hear several ways that activists are using to fight the DEA and the FEDs and how they are challenging the laws especially on a state vs fed type fight. Why is this not used?

My thoughts are that we had the Boston Tea party and eventual separation from government over this issue, right? The concept was very similar to prohibition just substitute MJ for the reasons for our grievances. Now, I'm not saying separate CA from US by any stretch of the imagination, but since I have to pay the state sales tax for purchases I make at a dispensary shouldn't those taxes be used to protect/assist me as a citizen? Especially from state supported police agencies? Now, if I am a law abiding, tax paying, permit having, non-profit collective shouldn't I be afforded protection from the state I pay my taxes to? Shouldn't those politicians SUPPORT/Represent me as well as the voters that passed the CA laws when they are at the federal level voting on issues that conflict with such laws, so that I can continue to pay taxes and there represented state can continue to receive them? Why would a state agency persecute an existing business that has been paying taxes and trying to comply but was taking profits (no matter what they were) but is now working to comply?

I know I am not using completely accurate examples of taxation without representations but help me out, maybe this can help guide the next wave of legal battles for some young inspired lawyer.
