The results came in from the lab test that High Times had done prior to the judging.
I am happy to report some really solid numbers from the strains of ours that were tested in many cases much more potent than the winners :)

The test were performed by Full Spectrum Labs

This is very unusual, isn't it? Not an isolated testing case, either...another sample of JTR tested by these guys (http://fullspectrumlabs.com/test/1101688/) also came back with very high THC-V levels. And only three other strains that they tested came back with > 6% THC-V (http://fullspectrumlabs.com/tested/products/?strain=&cannabinoid=THCV&above_c=6&ratio=&above_r=&type=raw+plant+material&page=1&per_page=25). One of the JTR samples that they analysed even beat out THCV59 (whatever that is)...which showed 5.15% THC-V.

I just happen to have my coffee table book Dank: The Quest for the Very Best Marjiuana opened to page 66.

I have every intention of breeding a select Ripper Male with the kiwi-pheno of Sensi Star I stumbled across. My past experiences with Durban Poison have taught me that the effects of THC-v should not be overlooked. I'll be sure to maintain a good momma too no doubt.

Off to the 'Tude...

I think its coming from the Jacks Cleaner a strain I consider to be the most potent based on its effect.
I am just happy when its an actual lab(not 6 stoners from the east coast testing 70 samples in 5 days) that TGA does very well compared to the field of entries.

Interesting. Ever had a sample of JC analysed for THCV content? Looking at the lineage, if I had to guess I'd say maybe it's from Pluton...but I haven't found much info on the web about that particular strain.

Gonna search the web now for more info about THCV and its physiological effects. According to wiki, "Some varieties that produce propyl cannabinoids in significant amounts, over five percent of total cannabinoids, have been found in plants from South Africa, Nigeria, Afghanistan, India, Pakistan and Nepal with THCV as high as 53.69% of total cannabinoids."

Oddly enough, wiki also says, "[THCV] has been shown to be a CB1 receptor antagonist, i.e. blocks the effects of THC." That would be a shame...I like THC.

In your own personal experience with your own phenotypes:

Do you think a person who is looking for that kind of "ceilingless" THC-v high would be better suited with Jack's Cleaner v2?

Of anyone, I trust your opinion on this since there isn't any current data available for comparison on the two strains.

so i now know why the querkle and jack were so special to me, Total Active Cannabinoids: 20.21% for the querkle and Total Active Cannabinoids: 26.06% in the jack!

once again sub shines in the breeding world!

I used to get a pretty steady supply of Querkle from the Greenway Dispensary in Santa Cruz, Ca. They charged $60 an 1/8th the last time I was in there a few years ago.

Very cool! Thanks for posting all that Data sub. I'd love to see this for all your strains, but I'll take what I can get!. Have some chernobyl going right now and Plush berry. I have a few of your other strains in seed form (JTR, QT, KABOOM) to try later!

I am not surprised at all with the number sub! However, I am surprised that JTR came back higher than querkle or qrazy train. Both my pheno's of both querkle and qrazy train blow my pink lemonade pheno out the watter as far as potency goes. However, not much beat the pink lemonade as far as taste goes...:)
