the perfect clone mother

I have some purple kush seedlings about 2 weeks old they are working on their 4th set of leaves (1st set of 5 fingered leaves). I want to top them so that when I figure out which one is the best I already have a bushy mother to take clones from. DOes anyone have any tried and true methods. I heard to top at 4 sets of leaves and then again at 2 more.

I heard that purple kush is only available from cuttings, also known as clones. I think that you may have some other kind of herb. Sorry to burst your bubble.

its true, but im sure some one was smart enough to make seeds
Well the problem is that someone could have been smart & when they created the purple cush strain they only spread clones, but never sold seeds. If the person that created the strain only sent out female clones then nobody but him would have a male purple cush, hence nobody could make a purple kush seed. They could only cross purple Kush w/ something else which would make something new alltogether.

Now I don't actually know if it's true w/ purple kush strain, but it certainly could be possible to have a strain that can't be reproduced by anyone but the creater of the strain. That's what happens when someone is in the growing business & is good w/ breeding & genetics, but not interested in being in the seed biz. Nothing beats a good brand name of some really good weed that can't be reproduced by anyone else. That can be very profitable.

This is bagseed dude. Have you ever checked a bud YOU grew and find a seed. I have and I dont grow male plants. I have found seeds in a lot of sinsemilla. These ARE worth growing
So you've found seeds in lots of sinsemilla.... Do you even know what sinsemilla is???

Main Entry: sin·se·mil·la Pronunciation: \ˌsin-sə-ˈmē-lə, -ˈmi-; -ˈmē-yə, -ˈmēl-\ Function: noun Etymology: American Spanish, from sin without + semilla seed Date: 1975 : highly potent marijuana from female plants that are specially tended and kept seedless by preventing pollination in order to induce a high resin content ; also : a female hemp plant grown to produce sinsemilla

I'm not saying what you have is or isn't purple kush. I'm just saying that what NastyRudeDogg said could be the case. & if someone were growing purple kush because they got a female clone of it & then that weed ended up w/ a seed in it then that seed would not be purple kush unless they bought both male & female purple kush clones & intentionally pollinated them. otherwise it's a purple Kush cross w/ who knows what.

Do I know what sinsemilla is I used that very word for a reason. How do you think they make feminized seed? You mean to tell me that you have never had a large harvest and found a few seeds? I was just asking and opinion on where I should top my future moms but the concern focus seems to be more on the finding of some good bagseeds. Honestly I am not 100% sure what strain this is but I trust my guy and they look kushy so far

OKay...How???? I would love to try it.

Never mind..I googled it..and you are absolutely right. But the most organic and seems to be easiest way is to flower your plant for a little longer to force it to produce some male flowers. Which can be harvested and stored and used for pollination on another female plant to create feminized seeds. Its actually pretty easy to mess up and do this on your own accidentally. Pretty cool.
